Daily Readings: 1 Samuel 3 and Psalm 51
“The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Then Samuel said, ‘Speak, for your servant is listening.’” (v.10)
What a wonderful posture it would be to adopt each day – “Speak Lord, Your servant is listening”.
In every situation of fear: Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
In every situation of doubt: Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
In every situation of frustration and despair: Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
In every situation of divine opportunity and encounter: Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
In every business meeting: Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
In every operating theatre: Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
Today, LORD, we pray over our every moment: Speak Lord, Your servant is listening. AMEN.
