Daily Reading: Mark 16:14-20

Lord Jesus, thank You for entrusting to me the sacred task of disciple-making. Despite the times I lack faith, despite my own occasional stubborn refusal to believe, and even despite my apathy and laziness – by pure grace, You have chosen me to be a disciple-maker. Thank You for this holy calling.

Holy Spirit, please empower me to obey Jesus’ call to proclaim the good news of eternal salvation and abundance of life to all creation. Please empower me to sow the seed of Your Gospel liberally and extravagantly in my sphere of influence. Let none around me be left in any doubt that I am a disciple of Jesus and that they can be one too. Let all freely observe the life-giving grace of God at work in me and through me. May the discipleship-invitations that I extend to others be accompanied and confirmed by clear signs of the power of the Living God. What these will be, I leave to Your wisdom; but please let one of them be my own complete transformation into the likeness of Jesus.

LORD, in Your mercy, hear my prayer. Amen.
