Daily Reading: Psalm 116

LORD, I love you. You sustain the Universe and uphold all things every day, yet somehow You pay attention to my slightest whisper. You know me by name, and You intervene when I call on You. You are gracious, helping me when I least deserve it. You are righteous and always do what is in my best interests. When those best interests require some difficulty and sacrifice on my part, You are compassionate and caring, strengthening me for the journey.

LORD, I love You. Unlike us humans, You are forever faithful and consistently good, so I trust entirely in You, and I rest in Your loving care, provision and protection. I will trust Your goodness, even when the shadows of difficulty or death fall across my path, for even death cannot separate me from You, nor can my grief keep me from Your love.

I dedicate myself to You this day. I will boast of Your greatness, loving-kindness and care to those I meet, and I will demonstrate and manifest Your goodness through my actions. I will praise You as long as I live, so that all in my circle of influence will know that YOU are my Saviour and my God!
