Daily Reading: Revelation 21:1-6
5 He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’
The LORD we serve is eternally the God of new beginnings and new creation. Your life in 2024 need not be an exception.
In light of your review of your year over the past two days, and the response you feel God has invited you into, what do you want to leave behind in 2023 and what do you want to carry with you into the new year?
Take time to reflect on and share with God your hopes and deepest desires for this new year …
Then be courageous enough to ask Him what His dreams and desires are for you …
What are some concrete and measurable changes you will have to make in 2024 to pursue your dreams and God’s dreams for you? Don’t feel they have to be major changes to make a major difference … the smallest adjustment can make a world of difference in the hands of the Lord. Simply listen carefully to the Lord’s whispers of guidance and instruction.
Close with thanksgiving and entrusting the outcomes of this time of reflection into the hands of our lovingly wise and faithful God.
LORD of this year and the next and of eternity, I surrender my life to Your goodness and grace. I know that, with You at the helm, my life will be all that You intend it to be, and this is more than enough for me. Amen.
