Lord,
to You I lift my joyful songs of praise
and give my heartfelt thanks.
You have been so, so good to me.
You have worked powerfully behind the scenes
and have delivered me
from dangers and threats I never even perceived.
Those situations that threatened to overwhelm me
You dealt with so powerfully, it is as though they never existed.
You, Lord, are King forever!
You rule with righteousness, justice and faithfulness.
You are our Refuge and our Defender, whenever we are oppressed.
You are merciful to us in our suffering
and grant us Your powerful protection.
No evil can stand in Your presence.
No one who opposes Your goodness and justice can ever prevail.
You will utterly defeat every force of wickedness and destruction.
Your perfect justice, righteousness and peace will be over all,
for You, Lord, are King forever!
