Loving Lord,
In moments of mystery, when I am overwhelmed
by circumstances beyond my control
that don’t appear to improve,
even after fervent prayer …
In seasons of sorrow, when defeat and doubt assail me,
threatening my future and even my faith …
Turn Your face towards me;
Shine Your light
on my mind and on my path.
I choose to live my life –
trusting Your unfailing love for me,
knowing You will rescue me,
rejoicing in Your goodness to me.
Now and forever,
Let it be so!
