“Help me, LORD!”
Father, how often I have cried to You:
“Help Me, LORD”
In sickness, danger, anxiety and fear,
this has been my desperate plea:
“Help me, LORD!”
When Your face has been hidden,
and I felt all alone, abandoned and defeated,
this has been my constant prayer in the darkest night:
“Help me, LORD!”
Now I praise You, Lord!
Now I sing for joy!
Now I exalt Your holy Name!
Every time I cried; You came.
You saved me, rescued me,
healed and restored me.
You arose like the sun.
Sorrow and darkness melted away like the night
and joy came like the fires of dawn!
You surrounded me, embraced me and shielded me,
Like a Mountain Fortress,
You wrapped me in Your love.
My chains of loneliness and mourning
melted away like the snow
and You set my feet dancing!
My heart was secure forever!
I will praise You, Lord!
I will sing for joy!
I will exalt Your holy Name!
I will declare the wonders of Your faithful love forever!
