Psalm 58

O LORD,
You are the Righteous King of all Creation,
the God of Goodness and Equity,
Justice and Truth.
May Your perfect Kingdom
be established on the earth.

Where now there is only corruption,
crime and violence,
Let Your Kingdom of Justice come;
Your Kingdom of Truth
where lies and deception now reign.

Where merciless and cruel men
flaunt their power
and rebel against your ways,
show Your glory, O GOD!
Destroy their wicked empires
of injustice, greed and pride.
Like the morning mist before the sun,
or like leaves blown on the wind,
let them vanish before our very eyes;
their power,
so feared on earth,
turned to dust and ashes
when the God of glory comes,
when the God of justice reigns supreme,
and Your Kingdom is established over all the earth.

Let it be so, Lord.
Let it be so! Amen.
