Lord Jesus, my Saviour and King
I am so humbled
that You would passionately long
to share this Covenant Meal
with me.
Please forgive me
for taking this sacred privilege so lightly,
forgetting that You are the Host
Who paid for my seat
in Your blood.
I am so unworthy in my own right,
yet, in Your mercy and love,
You offer me these signs –
signs that it was for me
You hung and suffered there.
Your Body and Blood
poured out for the whole world
and also
for me.
Precious Saviour and King –
Thank You for Your unfailing love,
Thank You for choosing
to lay down Your life in the Body
to seal my salvation in Your Blood.
Thank You for inviting me to come home,
for welcoming me with open arms,
adopting me into Your Family,
and offering me a seat at Your Table.
I delight in You
and I passionately long
to share the Covenant Meal with You again.
