Sovereign LORD,
You have been my God
my whole life through.
From infancy to the present day,
my Shield and my Defence.
Once I seemed so strong,
but now I feel so weak.
So many threats surround me,
and danger lurks on every side.
Those who oppose me seek my downfall
and mercilessly target my life.
But You, LORD,
You are always with me,
You have never failed,
You are my Protector and Defender,
my Fortress and my Shield.
I put all trust and all my hope
in You and You alone.
Hear my prayer as I cry to You:
Protect me, help me,
Comfort, restore me
Rescue and save me,
LORD, my God and my Salvation!
And as You do, LORD,
I will proclaim Your glory and power,
I will praise You with all my heart,
I will tell of Your goodness and Your saving grace,
I will boast of Your wonderful deeds,
of righteousness, power, and might,
of perfect faithfulness and unfailing love.
I will praise You with music and song,
shouting for joy and singing your praise.
declaring Your goodness all day long,
to You
and all who will hear me,
Now and forever, Amen.
