Psalm 89

LORD,
I praise You for Your unfailing love
and Your eternal faithfulness.
All of heaven worships You,
declaring Your wondrous deeds,
and standing in awe of You.

Nothing in all creation can compare
to Your power and might,
for You created the Universe
and everything in it.
Your righteousness and justice,
Your love and faithfulness –
they stand firm forever.
They are the foundation stones
of Your character and Your Kingdom.

I rejoice in You,
I worship You.
I praise You for Your goodness
and I commit myself to live always
in the light of Your love.

LORD,
when my life turns upside down and all seems lost;
when You feel a million miles away
and my world is shaking;
when my own frailty and finitude
stare me in the face
and everything conspires against me;
when I am insulted and disgraced.
Then,
I will remind myself Who You are!
I will recall the promises You have made!
I will rebuild my faith and life!
I will rely on Your faithfulness,
Your unfailing love and loyalty,
Your awesome power and might!
I will remember Who You are,
in all Your perfection!
You are my Father and my God,
my Protector and my Saviour
and I will trust Your Word to me,
even in the darkest night.
I will praise You forever,
my Lord and my God.
