LORD Almighty,
I give You thanks and praise
for Your eternal love
and Your boundless goodness
to all Your People.
LORD,
remember me,
and be gracious to me, I pray.
Let me share
in the totally undeserved joy and prosperity
of those whom You bless –
Your People who belong to You!
As I remember Your dealings with Your People
down through the Ages
I realise beyond any shadow of a doubt
that Your grace is infinite
and Your patience and mercy
are free and boundless:
in Egypt,
at the Red Sea,
in the Wilderness,
at Sinai,
on the verge of the Promised Land,
at Peor, at Meribah,
the forty years of wandering,
and even
in the Promised Land.
Time and again Your People sinned,
You corrected them,
and when they repented, You relented.
You saved and delivered them
time and again.
You blessed and restored them
time and again.
Over and over
and over again
sin led to suffering
until You stepped in.
So now all I can pray is,
‘Father, forgive me,
restore me again,
now and forever,
I will praise Your Name!’
Amen!
