I love You, Lord,
for You listen attentively whenever I pray,
and You truly hear my heart.
How could I ever thank You enough?
Lord, in my moments of overwhelming anxiety and fear,
when it seemed certain I would die,
and terror gripped my heart and mind,
You were right there with me.
You heard my cries for help.
You stepped in and saved me.
You wiped away my tears and held me close.
You rescued me from utter despair
and from my paralysing fear.
You set me on my feet again
and led me out into the light of life.
Lord, You are merciful, compassionate
and unspeakably good.
My life and death alike
are holy and precious to You,
so I trust You with all my heart.
I bring you my sacrifice
of gratitude and praise,
and I will proclaim Your grace and goodness
all my days.
