LORD,
I humbly surrender
my prideful striving and straining
to know better than others;
to understand and have an opinion
on every issue under the sun.
I humbly accept
that there are many things
I will simply never understand.
They are too lofty for me,
too complex and nuanced,
and, frankly,
too confusing for my finite mind!
Only You,
Infinite God of Wisdom and Understanding
can know all things
about all things.
In humble surrender,
I rest in Your love.
I trust in You
as an infant trusts its mother’s embrace.
And I am at peace.
I am content,
In You.
Now and forever.
