Psalm 137

LORD,
I call to mind
the places
where I have most deeply encountered You
in worship,
and my heart is stirred with gratitude and love.
I call to mind
the people
with whom I have most deeply found fellowship
in You,
and my heart is stirred with longing and love.
Thank You,
for these people and places
that were such a wonderful part
of my journey with You.

May my worship of You today
be fed and enriched
by my memories of them.
May I never forget them
or cease to thank You for them.
May any who seek to destroy them
meet the full power
of Your protective care over them.

And may You, my Lord,
never cease to be my highest joy
and my deepest delight.
Now and forever.
