Psalm 143

LORD,
I come to You,
trusting in Your righteousness,
and knowing that You will do what is right;
trusting in Your faithfulness,
and knowing that You will do what is best for me.

When I am utterly defeated,
I come to You.
When I am in deep despair,
I come to You.
When I have lost all hope,
I come to You.
In every moment of deepest need,
I call to mind Your awesome deeds,
and I come again
to You.

And here in Your presence,
I lift my prayers to You:
Protect me!
Rescue me!
Save me from all my troubles!
In Your power and love
destroy the hateful power
of those who seek my destruction.
In Your goodness,
Teach me!
Lead me!
Guide me in Your path of life.

And as I put my trust in You,
may each new morning
bring me undeniable evidence
of Your unfailing love.
Amen!
