Daily Reading: Mark 1:14-15

Lord, Your good news offers me such a beautiful and simple invitation – to turn my back on the sin that slowly robs me of life, and to incline my heart and soul towards the love of the King and His Kingdom-Family, where there is true life, forever.

Forgive me Lord, for every sin of unbelief, ignorance, weakness or rebellion. Forgive me for hurting You and Your beloved children. Forgive me for damaging myself, for I am Your beloved, too. I confess my sin to You and long to be released from its grip. Please cleanse me of the guilt of that sin and the shame that grows so readily in my heart. I receive Your forgiveness and healing by faith.

And now, Lord, forgiven and cleansed, I run into Your arms of love. Here I am accepted and treasured as a child in the Household of Abba Father. How glorious to belong to You, to be loved by You, and to find my home in You again. Fill me with Your life and sustain me by Your love today.

In the beautiful Name of Jesus, my Saviour and King. Amen.
