Almighty God, forever faithful,
my Help and Defence,
hear the cry of my heart, Lord,
hear my humble plea!
When I am the target
of proud, cruel and godless people
intent on wreaking havoc,
bring their evil plans down on their own heads
and rescue me from every vicious attack.
Save me and set me free,
O Lord,
my Help and my Defence!
With joyful awe
I worship You!
I give You thanks,
for all Your goodness to me!
