O Lord Almighty,
when the walls are closing in on me
and danger lurks on every side,
when evil tempts me to despair,
and I just long to run and hide,
I put my trust in You, my God
and I’ll not be afraid,
for even in the darkest night,
You’re never far away.
You stand with me,
You take my hand,
You guide me through this no-man’s land.
You wipe my tears in my alarm,
You crush the powers that seek my harm.
I bring You now my thanks and praise
and worship You, Lord, all my days.
